The BEST article you will read about the Carmelo Anthony trade to the NY Knicks. I think Paul Shirley hits the nail on the head here.

Shirley's ideas about the value of hard work and sacrifice in America versus the star system of the NBA and whether that makes it a turnoff occassionally to some fans is fascinating. The 1994 Houston Rockets were Hoosiers.
Rule #1 when you work in sports media: No cheering in the press box. This guy learned the hard way.

Incidentally, it is slightly embarrassing how often some members of the Houston media cheer for the Texans in the box on gameday. I could almost understand it if the team had ever had a moment worth applauding.
Here's a story you will stand up and cheer. A kid in Philadelphia is trying to become the first player in 30 years to move directly from the Philadelphia Public League to Penn of the Ivy League. Xavier Harris still has not attained the SAT scores necessary for admission. He needs a mere 30 points to make the jump.

This video will NOT be on the brochure for the upcoming MS 150.
Very Soon I will be sick and tired of Charlie Sheen's train
wreck life...but ladies and gentleman....Today is not that day.
Happy Birthday Harry Caray! He would have been 91 today.
I'm probably the only person on the planet who will find this amusing...but since I'm doing the work, no complaining!
