I was skeptical of the James Dickey hire when UH pegged him to succeed the Merm. Dickey in 1 season has boatraced Penders from a recruiting standpoint. Sunday ESPN ranked #15 national recruit Daniel House from Hightower High School and #58 Danrad "Chicken" Knowles from HYCA high school in Houston committed to UH over offers from Kansas, UT, Baylor, Georgetown and others.

IMO this is the equivalent of TJ Ford committing to Rick Barnes and Texas. House wants to make it cool to play for UH again. He has the type of high flying game and energetic personality that will pull other local kids to Hofheinz. It's time for Cougar Fans to step up and support this program.
As for Knowles, he's a very skilled Power Forward who clearly needs to fill out his body, but will bring some legit shot blocking ability at 6'10.
