Great NBA All Star Moments, The All Star Parties You WON'T Hear About, Happy Birthday Molly, More Autotune Fun

The NBA All Star Weekend is upon us.  I see very little redeeming value to this year's activities with the exception of Blake Griffin on his home floor participating in the dunk contest.  Here are 5 past All Star memories of note.

1. Michael Jordan vs Dominique Wilkens Slam Dunk Contest 1988.

The fix was totally in on this one. Wilkens two handed hammer slam should have won the competition considering the fact that MJ had already missed a dunk. But alas, the game was in Chicago and MJ couldn't lose face at home.

2. Larry Bird owns the 3 point Shootout...1986

Larry Bird, Dale Ellis, and Craig Hodges seemed to be the only guys that excelled in these competitions. In 1986 Bird dominated the final round with a still record 22 point performance.

3. 1992 NBA All Star Game: Magic voted as starter despite retiring due to HIV diagnosis wins MVP.

4. Vince Carter Slam Dunk Contest 2000: Carter, Steve Francis and Tracy McGrady were all exceptional but Carter brought down the house with a variety of dunks including one where he hung his entire arm through the net.

5. 2001 NBA All Star Game: "The Comeback" Alan Iverson and Stephon Marbury lead the East from 21 down in the 4th quarter to beat the western conference. It was the 50th anniversary of the NBA All Star game.

If you can't get into the game or the Saturday night events, maybe you can score some passes to one of the exclusive NBA player parties.  If you can't score those tickets, maybe you can score tickets to these...courtesy of http://www.tauntr.com/content/all-star-game-party-circuit

Happy 43rd Birthday Molly Ringwald. You were cute in the 1980's. Back then you didn't have to be drop dead gorgeous or a slut to be in the movies. Those were better times. I'd never kick you to the curb.

Leave Serene Branson alone!!! You're lucky she even performs for you people!
