All Dork Baseball Team

Somehow or another former Blue Jays Closer Tom Henke came up on the show Tuesday morning. Because of this, I decided to put together an All Dork MLB Team. Here they are!

At Catcher....Former Royals and Blue Jay backstop, Darrel Porter.  The welding  glasses are a nice touch.  He should be able to relate to this incredibly dorky pitching staff.

At 1B....John Olerud....I know there was a medical reason for him to wear the batting helmet in the field, but that does not make him look like any less of a dork.  The team should thrive with this batting champion dork.

At 2B...Lenn Sakata...Can't say I really remember him as a player, but wow, what a dork!

At SS.....Former Astro Rafael Landestoy!!!....no relation to this guy from Seinfeld...

In the OF......Max Venable....Pat Sheridan....and John Lowenstein...Venable, Sheridan, and Lowenstein sounds like a dork law firm not an MLB outfield.

The Ace of the dork pitching staff.....Greg Maddux....love the stache....

The remainder of the starting staff.....I particularly like the shades that Charley Kerfeld stole from "Tackleberry" on the set of Police Academy.

Now to the bullpen....Henke a classic closer...Tekulve probably the most awkward dork ever, Tom Hume AKA Tom Kite's alter ego, Ron Robinson with a Eric Stoltz-ish MASK feel to him.

Designated Hitter....Ron Kittle the former Rookie of the year...

Backup Catcher....Ed Hearn...never heard of him...

Fourth OF.....Greg Gross...a solid pinch hitter and dork....there were several others to choose from....Feel free to add your suggestions with or without pictures....
