Rockets Trade for Donatas Motiejunas

The Rockets  traded Brad Miller,  The 23rd pick, 38th pick, and a future 1st round pick (2013 Memphis #1) to the Minnesota T-Wolves for Johnny Flynn and Donatas Motiejunas.

Here are some highlights of the 20 year old Lithuanian.

Here is Motiejunas working out against air.

Here's ESPN's Chad Ford's profile on the Lithuanian.
Positives
•Pretty athletic big man

•Aggressive scorer

•Runs the floor well

•Excellent passer

•Nice frame

•Can score with either hand around the basket

•Great footwork and quickness in the post

•Good shooter especially from midrange

•Has the quickness to take his man off the dribble

•High basketball IQ

Negatives •Needs to add strength

•Rail-thin

•Lacks experience

•Needs to improve his consistency on his long-range perimeter shot

•Poor body language on the court sometimes

•Not particularly long

Notes •Motiejunas has declared for the 2011 NBA Draft.

•Plays for Benetton Treviso in the Italian League. Averaging 12 ppg and 4 rpg during the 2010-11 season.

•Motiejunas declared for the 2010 NBA Draft, but withdrew on June 4.

•Motiejunas was named an All-Star in the Lithuanian league in 2009.

•Had a strong performance in the 2009 Nike Hoop Summit, scoring 21 points and grabbing 8 boards in a surprise win for the World team over Team USA.

I'll be honest, I have no opinion on this player. I have never seen him play. I like Johnny Flynn's chances of contributing to the Rockets more than Brad Miller and his micro-fractured knee. Did you like this pick?
