Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels

Wrestlemania XII
The greatest rivalry in wrestling history:
Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels!

They both started in the 1980s in different Tag-Teams: The Hart Foundation and The Rockers! However, The Hart Foundation actually won the Tag-Team Championships, where as The Rockers never did. Actually they did once but they match was deemed not worth showing on television because one of the ring ropes broke and the match was scraped and the Tag Titles were stripped from The Rockers and they were never given another shot at them again. Thus, Shawn snapped and turned on his Tag-Team partner Marty Jannetty.

Degeneration X
Solo careers came next. Bret would win the Intercontinental Championship, as would Shawn Micheals. Then Bret went on to win the WWF Championship. Then at Wrestlemania XII in what is considered the greatest match in wrestling history, the 60 minute "Ironman" match, Shawn defeated Bret and won his first WWF Championship.

Sunny
It was after this that the two friends with identical careers suddenly turned on each other and became the most bitter enemies in wrestling history. The cause has been reveled to be "Sunny" Tammy Synch! The original Diva and by far the hottest girl in the history of wrestling, apparently came between them and thus made them bitter enemies.

The Hug
Bret was surrounded by his family, The Hart Foundation, and Shawn surrounded himself by The Kliq, ironically when they first formed, it was Shawn, "Diesel" Kevin Nash, and "Razor Ramon" Scott Hall, and they asked current WWF Champion Bret Hart to join and be the leader, making them a modern day Four Horsemen. Bret rejected the offer, and not long after the whole Sunny situation happened. Triple H was eventually made the forth member of the Kliq and they tried to destroy Bret and take over the whole company. However, Hall and Nash were offered more money and left for WCW leaving Shawn and Hunter alone. It was this time that the two formed the legendary group "Degeneration X" and changed the world of professional wrestling.

They basically push Bret out the door and he would not return for over a decade. Shockingly when he finally did, he called out Shawn and the two hugged and made up. I guess this rivalry came full circle. Its just too bad they could not have had one more match. Just imagine, Wrestlemania 28, main event, Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs "The Heartbreak Kid" (HBK) Shawn Micheals... one last time, and this time, Bret kicks out of Shawn's "Sweet Chin Music" and locks on the "Sharpshooter" to which Shawn finally taps out and Bret wins once and for all. Then the winner could leave the ring with Sunny hehe.

What do you all think?
